Embracing the Void, be it mortality, cynicism, despair, and to create beauty is audacious. It is a gift of hope and connectivity in the future tense. The seamless event arising from the interface of memory and the agency of objects totally fascinates me. I aim to animate the necessarily incomplete act of recollection by exaggerating attachments, encourage vagaries of relevance by form and atmospheric firing. With surface work, I hope to suggest indeterminate eras, ambiguities in trace layers, vague patterns and indistinct horizons. Along the warp and the uncertain, unity, equilibrium and functionality are sustained. I have no illusions that my preoccupations translate, they simply guide my hand.
